Mexico in Transition

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The North American Free Trade Agreement changed Mexico and United States relations, especially in the realm of commerce. NAFTA had enormous impact on a wide variety of laws and regulations in Mexico, making changes and reversals to policies that had been in place since the Mexican Revolution. Great changes were made in the area of trucking and truck leasing, an important sector of the Mexican economy. This book examines truck leasing and transportation as rules-based social activity in a cultural, historical and international context, with particular reference to the NAFTA and Mexico-U.S. relations.
