Global mementos

I just received these pictures from the organizers of the Beijing 2005 Committee presentation.  The scroll is a reproduction of an eighteenth century, Qing Dynasty painting on silk by an Italian-Chinese artist, Lang Shih-ning (Giuseppe Castiglione), called One Hundred Horses… it could not be any more global!  It was very nice to see the name of this blog posted on the background banner in English and Mandarin!
