Business leaders can no longer pretend to be working in a fragmented world, the president of Inter-American Development Bank tells Thunderbird graduates Dec. 12. “Every decision you make as a corporate executive, a government official or even as a consumer in the grocery store has a connection in the broader world,” says Luis Alberto Moreno, a 1977 Thunderbird graduate.
As managing director of J.P. Morgan’s private banking operations in the Middle East, Steve Klemme spends time with many ultra-high-net-worth families. Klemme, a 1985 Thunderbird graduate who lives and works in Geneva, says corporate leaders can learn lessons from these families about sustaining wealth in turbulant times and passing it on to future generations.
