Dear Amanda:

I'm currently working on a consultancy for the World Bank, which is preparing a study on women and entrepreneurship in Africa. One part of the study relates to the question of bringing women's voices into public-private-dialogue and investment climate reform decision-making. In this context, I came across your study, and am exploring whether to refer to it in some way in this study.

I don't have much information on the study, the countries covered, and the basis for the classifications you have arrived at. It is not clear to me, for example, how Ethiopia receives what seems to be a "better" ranking than South Africa or Mauritius, nor how Kenya fares less well than DRC.

I would be glad to have an opportunity to discuss this with you, if you have time and interest.

Regards, Mark Blackden
