Turn recession into career opportunity, Manpower executive says

Manpower vice president Sunny AckermanPeople who lost jobs in the global recession can use the economic downturn as an opportunity to assess their careers, recalibrate and make changes, a Manpower executive said Nov. 19 at Thunderbird.

“We have seen some phenomenal success stories of people coming out of different environments and going into a completely different type of industry because it’s a passion or desire that they’ve always had,” said Manpower vice president and general manager Sunny Ackerman.

In an interview with Thunderbird Knowledge Network reporter Darien Carroll, Ackerman shares tips for job applicants seeking their next career opportunity. Watch excerpts from the interview in the videos below.
