The Thunderbird Rugby Invitational is the oldest graduate level rugby tournament in the western United States. It is usually held in November, when the temperature is perfect in the Valley of the Sun to enjoy the outdoors, beer, and competitive rugby on a perfect green pitch.

Last year the tournament was held during the weekend of November 8, with eight teams competing. Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Teams A&B), Columbia University, Stanford University, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, University of Texas at Austin, North Arizona University, and Thunderbird School of Global Management.
