<p>Thunderbird Cricket team started strong in their quest to become the American College Cricket Champions 2010 by beating University of Southern California in the inaugural match as a part of the American College Cricket Spring Break Championship at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.This is the biggest collegiate cricket championship in the country which  aspires to be comparable to other NCAA sports.</p>
<p>USC was considered the best team in their pool and the team hopes to continue its winning streak. The other team that Thunderbird Cricket will face over the next two days are USF (University of South Florida), UM (University of Miami), and UWI  (University of the West Indies) as part of the Southern conference in  the league stage.This is the first time Thunderbird Cricket is participating in a national level cricket championship and the team is determined to make its mark.</p>
<p>The team was interviewed by local television to wish them luck and help people understand the game of cricket over here</p>
